A short Sentinel tale
Wandering aimlessly, Blair thought about just how screwed he was. He might have fantasies about a bottle chocolate syrup and his partner, but nothing could ever come of it. He was doomed to live in agony, but that was better than risking the friendship. He had just reached the Cascade Tribune offices when someone poked a gun into his back. Before he could curse, a voice hissed.
'One word and you're dead.' Turning his head, he could see Warren Chapel, the insane serial killer, standing there with an evil look and a gun. But all he could think was that at least dead, he wouldn't have to live with the pain. The killer fired, hitting him in the stomach.
'No,' he gasped as the villain ran away. He couldn't die like this--without ever admitting what he felt.
'Oh my god,' a voice exclaimed. 'What happened?'
He looked up to see Detective Brown standing on the street with a horrified expression.
'Tell him... tell my partner I love him,' he whispered, the cold already stealing the feeling from his limbs as he bled his life out onto the cold sidewalk. He slipped into the darkness just hoping his partner would know how much he loved him.
Waking up was a surprise. Waking up and seeing his partner's smiling face was a bigger one. 'Hi,' he offered, suddenly wishing he hadn't announced his love. What if he had just destroyed their friendship?
'You love me, huh?' his partner asked. For one second, he panicked, and then he recognized the love shining out of the other man's smile. Slowly, his partner leaned down and kissed him , right before William Ellison walked in. He stopped just inside the door, clearly shocked. 'It's not what I would have wanted for you, but I love you and I'll support you in this or any other choice you make, son,' he said slowly.
Jim and Blair lived happily ever after and had lots and lots of wall sex.
